The Delaware Sports Club was formed to promote Track and Field in Delaware.
Over the years we have
expanded to include Cross Country and Distance Running. Today the Club is composed of two main groups.
One, a small but dedicated group of Track and Field officials who provide this service to high schools
and colleges plus Junior Olympics and the Summer Development Meets. The other, a large group of
distance runners. There are several regular track and long run workout groups.
DSC membership in Road Runners Club of America and USA Track & Field give us a voice and a vote at
the national level. Individual DSC members will receive RRCA membership. You will also receive a
10% discount on shoes at the Delaware Running Company, Greenville. Just show your Membership Card.

Every year, someone asks me why he should join the Delaware Sports Club. To me there are several reasons:
- Our small groups provide motivation and training tips to runners
- Through our membership in USATF and RRCA we have a voice in the sport at a National level.
- We sponsor a Bus to Boston trip each year for runners competing in the Boston Marathon. This year was the 30th trip.
- We provide Track & Field and Cross Country officials for major meets in Delaware. See Officials page.
- Member, Doug White, keeps Delaware running records for open and masters’ competition in road races.
- Club members certify local racecourses so that you know that the race is run at the advertised distance.
